We've made it home!

Howdy Everyone!

Well, after a wonderful 3 months touring in QLD, we have finally made it home! We arrived at 1.30am, the kids didn't know which toy to go for in the toy room first! Got them into bed by about 2am! Today we have had a day of sorting through everything, washing and the kids have REALLY enjoyed playing with all the things they missed while away! TOYS!!!!

I'll just fill you all in from where I left off last Wednesday.

We went out for dinner for Trent's birthday so that Nannie Jac and Poppy could enjoy the celebrations before they left. It was good fun and of course we had cake - it's not your birthday if you don't have a cake and blow out the candles!

Thursday we had a slow morning and we all had lunch in the Noosa main street food court. Nannie Jac and Poppy caught a bus back to Brisbane Airport just after lunch and the kids then spent time with Nannie Rose and Papa while Trent and I went for Trent's ultrasound on his heart. After the ultrasound we had some time to fill in before the Dr's app. so we went for a look at the lookout at Noosa. It wasn't all that exciting compared to others we had seen along the way but it was nice to do without little people around for a bit!
We got to the Dr's app and Dr. Paul who has been wonderful with Trent - nothing has been too much trouble called us into his room. He said that he was going to find an answer to Trent's problem and he did. Through more of Trent's blood tests he discovered Trent has an over active Thyroid! This explains all his trouble and most importantly, his racing heart beat or pulse! So, it was off for another ECG in the Treatment Room and then back to Dr. Paul for some scripts, a certificate and another referral for Trent to have an ultrasound on his thyroid and an nuclear scan on his thyroid. Apparently, Trent has just been very unlucky, he seems to think that nothing caused it, it has just happened!
After the app, we headed back to the kids and then I took a walk to gets Trent's medication at the Pharmacy. It was takeaway for dinner and then Maurice had another sleepover at Nannie Rose's and Papa's, Pheobe had another turn the night before! Trent and I then packed up most of our things and I did the last of the washing.

Friday, it was up early and breaky, packed up and by 8.30am we were at Radiology for Trent to have his ultrasound and nuclear scan. Pheobe, Maurice and Flick had more time with Nannie Rose and Papa. After the scans and yet, another ECG, we went back to the Dr's for a quick review and a dump of Trent's history onto a USB stick and we were back at Rod and Rose's. A quick bite to eat and a final good bye to Nannie and Papa and we  were on our way.
We called into where the Caravan is being fixed in Brisbane and grabbed a few things we wanted to bring home with us. The caravan because it wasn't finished and they couldn't guarentee it would be by Monday, is being put on a truck home once the work is complete. From here we drove all the way to Warwick and had some Mc chucks for dinner. Everyone was travelling along okay so we went a little further to Goondiwindi. We all crashed there by 9pm. Not really the best Birthday for Trent, but at least we were on our way home and that was going to make him happy, It's always better at home when you are unwell.

Saturday came around pretty quick and Flick was up at the crack of dawn, so we all got up, showered, some warm milk and packed up. We were on the road we thought fairly early, but once we crossed the border we lost another hour! 10am we got to Moree and of course the 'Golden M' was there and everyone was a little peckish, so we drove through and it was hash browns all round and bacon and egg muffins! We kept driving through Narrabri, Coonabarabran, Gilgandra and then stopped at Dubbo for a late lunch. Guess where? Macca's!!!! Love those play area's for the kids to burn off energy and McCafe for the Mum and Dad!
Back on our way and through Parkes, saw the Dish from the Highway! Through Forbes and on to West Wyalong. Had a bit of a pit stop here, Flick was wanting a bottle, so we got milk and asked the man to heat it up for us! We decided to head on to Wagga Wagga and because Flick was still sleeping we made our way to Albury after a quick servo stop to was the bugs off the windscreen! We took the Albury bypass and made another pit stop at a truck stop just outside of Wodonga on the Hume Hwy. 9.30pm, Kids into their PJs and I took over driving for a while and Trent did the last 2 hours and we were home! It was a massive day, but it was worth it to not have to drive again today!

We caught up with GD, Nannie Di and Abby today, it was real great to see them. Nannie Jac and Poppy also called in which was great too! Nannie and Papa phoned to see how we were and to let us know that they picked up Mac and Mollie from Doggy Daycare (they went there while Nannie and Papa came to visit us in Noosa).

Anyway, its now time to sign off and we are all looking forward to catching up with all our family and friends to share our journey and tell stories. We hope this Blog has been a great way for you all to see and read about our past 12 weeks! Thanks to everyone that kept in touch.

See you all soon,
