What else did we get up to in Longreach?

Hi everyone!

Just catching up now that I have time to, I will explain the why I have time a little later on in my next Blog!

So, after a great morning at the Stockmans Hall of Fame, we went home so the kids could have a sleep & us a rest. Then, we were off for our horse and cart ride! Kinnon & Co. who are part of the Station Store in Longreach. They do a ride on one of the old mail runs from year ago. It was so much fun and we all had a great time. Our guide was again, full of information about the history. We had some photo's taken which we of course purchased, so when we are home we will be able to show you all. It was something that we will never forget, especially Maurice who took it all in.

Saturday, the morning was spent at the QANTAS Founders Museum. Again, its another place we would recommend visiting. So much history there it was amazing. We went on the 747 tour as well, and got to explore the plane inside and out! Had a look in the original QANTAS hanger too. The Longreach airport is right next door, so we had lunch at the cafe there. It was very yummy and so well priced which was nice.

Saturday afternoon was of course spent watching the Grand Final. We were all geared up for it! Made our posters, painted the kids faces and blew up our balloons. I had to do some washing before the game started, had 5 days worth to get out on the line! Managed that, then put Flick into bed and went to the Wool Shed! The Wool Shed is a place at the caravan park that is like a bar and restaurant. It's now closed because the busy season is over, but they re-opened it for the afternoon. It has a big screen TV, so it was a perfect place to put ourselves. The majority of people who were there were Geelong supporters, so it was good for us! Flick managed to sleep for most of the game which was good. Went back to the van and check on her every now and then, we were right near the wool shed and locked the van when we weren't in it so nothing could happen to her.
What a game! So many ups and downs for both sides, but eventually the Cats made their run home and Won the game! Yee Ha! It was fun to cheer and sing the club song at the end of the game. We also took photo's of the big screen as a memento of watching the game in Longreach! Thanks to all our family members who called before, during and after the game, so great to hear from you all on such an important day! Ordered Pies, hotdogs and chips for dinner at the bar and then it was a reasonably early night for us all.

Anyway, here are some pic for you all to see and I will blog again after this to let you know why I have time to blog now!!!!!
